Hot Tub Chemicals
To keep your spa hot tub in the best condition you will need to look after the water chemistry with the correct hot tub chemicals. Some tips on looking after your hot tub are:
– Oil and soap based detergents can really play havoc with your hot tub chemistry. They are really difficult to remove entirely from the surface of your tub.
Skin creams – While it is good advice to always wear sunscreen on your skin when outdoors, most creams really don't help your hot tub. If possible, try and use a physical sun screen instead.
Clean clothes – Detergents traces are often found in our clothes even after going through the washing machine. It is a good idea to give extra rinses to any hot tub clothes you wear.
Proper pH – Water can become very corrosive, especially if the ph is out of balance. Damage can occur to both the tub and the spa jets if left untreated. Regularly check the ph of the water in your hot tub.
Packing up – When you have finished with the hot tub, make sure you close all air the vents to prevent debris from entering into the system. This is particularly the case when shutting down for any long periods.
